Why Porlock chooses us

Porlock rubbish removal, loaded by hand and priced up front

If you need rubbish removed anywhere in Porlock, from Porlock Weir, Bossington, Luccombe and West Porlock, we are already nearby. Expect thatched cottages, holiday lets and Exmoor farmsteads on most jobs here, and remember the 1-in-4 hill and toll road lanes mean small, careful loads.

In practice, Porlock keeps us busy with holiday let changeovers, cottage clearances and coastal garden waste. You do not need to lift anything, and we collect from High Street and Doverhay on the same trip — we price by the space your waste fills, not by the hour. See what we clear in Porlock or read the Porlock FAQs.

You get a fixed price up front, a licensed carrier and your waste transfer note on the day — across the whole of TA24, from £99.99. Get a price online, call 07399 884635 or message us on WhatsApp across West Somerset. We also cover Minehead, Watchet and Williton, all within a short run of Porlock.

Case studies

Two Porlock clearances, start to finish

Porlock Weir, Porlock · Mini load

Sofa and mattress removal in Porlock, Porlock Weir

A corner sofa, two double mattresses and a wardrobe from a first-floor flat in Porlock Weir — the everyday Porlock bulky waste collection the council charges for and makes you wait weeks on.

The challenge
No lift, a turn on the stairs that beat the last removal firm, and the 1-in-4 hill and toll road lanes mean small, careful loads.
What we did
Sofa split on the landing, mattresses bagged to keep the stairwell clean, everything carried down and loaded in under an hour.
The result
£99.99 all in, same-week slot, mattresses taken to a licensed recycler instead of landfill.

Doverhay, Porlock · Small load

Man and van in Porlock: loft and cellar clear, Doverhay

Boxes, old suitcases, a water tank and broken furniture out of a thatched cottages, holiday lets in Doverhay.

The challenge
Loft ladder only, low headroom, and the 1-in-4 hill and toll road lanes mean small, careful loads — a skip would have cost more than the job.
What we did
Crew went up and passed everything down, damp cardboard bagged to stop mess, metals and electricals split for recycling.
The result
£149.99 all in — cheaper than skip hire in TA24 and no permit needed.

Waste collection in Porlock: your questions answered

Can you do same day rubbish removal in Porlock?

We're in West Somerset every week, so Porlock bookings are usually 2–4 days out — and same-day is worth asking about, especially mid-week.

Why use your service instead of a skip in Porlock?

A man and van works out cheaper on most Porlock jobs. A skip means hire fees, possibly a council permit, and you loading it yourself. Here it matters more than usual because the 1-in-4 hill and toll road lanes mean small, careful loads.

Can you collect a single sofa or mattress in Porlock?

Just point at it. Single items are our most common Porlock booking, and we remove them from any floor of the property.

Do you take garden waste in Porlock?

We do. Green waste from Porlock gardens is collected and recycled locally, whether it's a hedge cut, a tree job or a full garden overhaul.

How are Porlock rubbish removal prices worked out?

Prices in Porlock go by load size, not by the hour: £99.99 for a mini load (about 8 bin bags), £199.99 for a medium load and £499.99 for our largest. Labour, disposal and your waste transfer certificate are included.

What should a full house clearance in Porlock cost?

It depends on how much is going, but £269.99–£499.99 covers most Porlock properties. Bereavement, downsizing and landlord clearances are all quoted up front, with nothing added afterwards.

Which parts of Porlock do you cover?

All of it. We collect from Porlock Weir, Bossington, Luccombe, West Porlock, High Street, Doverhay and every street in TA24 — houses, flats, farms, driveways and rear access. Everything is loaded by hand, so no skip and no permit is needed.

Do I need to be there when you collect in Porlock?

Only if you want to be. Where the 1-in-4 hill and toll road lanes mean small, careful loads, it sometimes helps to have someone point out access, but it isn't required.

Do you clear commercial and builders waste in Porlock?

We do. Porlock builders, landlords and shops use us for rubble, timber, plasterboard and site waste, and we can work early or late.

What can't you take away?

We can't remove asbestos, caravans or hazardous chemicals. Everything else — fridges, mattresses, electricals, paint-free timber — goes to a licensed facility, with up to 92% recycled.

Are you a licensed waste carrier in Porlock?

Yes. We're a registered waste carrier with £10m public liability insurance, and every Porlock collection comes with a waste transfer note so your rubbish can't be fly-tipped in your name.
