Bathrooms are small rooms that produce surprisingly heavy waste, and nearly all of it is upstairs. A cast iron bath, a tiled wall broken back to the plaster and a ceramic suite add up fast — and every piece has to come down a staircase without taking a chunk out of the wall.
We carry it down, load it and clear the landing, usually the same day the strip-out happens so the new suite can go straight in. Ceramics and tile go into the inert stream; the old pipework and bath go for metal recovery.
