Brick and concrete are inert waste — heavy, clean and fully recyclable. A broken-out garden wall, a lifted concrete shed base or the footings from an old porch will be crushed and reused as aggregate rather than landfilled, which is why it's worth keeping separate from your general waste.
It's also the heaviest thing we collect, so these jobs are priced on weight bands. We'd rather quote two sensible loads than overload one lorry, and we'll tell you which it is from a photo before you commit.

What goes on the lorry
Old Yeovil boundary walls in the Hendford and Goldcroft area are often Ham stone and lime mortar rather than modern block, which comes out in big, heavy lumps. We barrow those in smaller runs to protect both the path and the crew's backs.
